Recently started with LC. Had previously just used spore syringes straight to grain spawn (have a lot of experience with this method). I tried a different grain spawn tek & a still air box. It was unsuccessful. I kept the LC in the fridge for more than 60 days after colonization & tried it again with my normal grain spawn tek & it's colonizing quickly & looks super healthy. I also went back to the oven method. I think the instructions say the colonized LC should be good for 30 days in the refrigerator. Mine was well past that & it's still healthy, with no contams. I've already ordered more. Highly recommend it.

I inoculated with 5 different strains and all of them are looking very healthy after 7 days. It's been a week after inoculation and the fungal blob is 2" in diameter. Tomorrow I'll put it into the fridge to slow it down. There was some debris that I guessed were minerals which have dissolved now. The water is very clear and without contamination. I used a spore syringe and 1cc of inoculant which grew rapidly. The next step is to culture some in a dish and then transfer it to a slant for long term storage. This is my first attempt at mushrooms. I used a still air box I made from a big tote. This one liquid culture jar will hold all of this variety that I'll need for a quite a while. I'll get new jars when I get new strains.

i received and inoculated the liquid culture and within a few days i had liquid mycelium. the order arrived quickly and was packaged nicely. good product. soon i will inoculate my spawn bags and i'm hopeful its as successful as the formation of the liquid mycelium.
