Incredible filter. Half the depth of most. This saves on space and electricity as you need a less powerful fan to achieve great laminar flow. I live in Canada and used this filter matched with a 460 cfm inline fan. Yes you can definitely get great laminar flow and a squirrel blower is not necessary. Complete build for under 700 bucks in Canada even after using 3/4 inch birch plywood.

Initially when I first got started in mycology I was having contamination issues. I tried still air boxes and had some success. This flow hood though is a game changer. Not once have I had contamination using it. So happy!

High quality filter and frame

Pros:
Cons:
Hard to tell from the pictures they provide, but this filter has a quality aluminum frame, precisely 18x24 inches, and the depth is around 3 inches (don't remember the exact number). It would be nice if they would provide the static pressure, I would be surprised if it's as high as the typical filters in this category given the depth.
