This is an aggressive species that spontaneously forms primordia on sawdust substrates but may be slow to colonize grain spawn. The mushroom develops quickly once initiated and can grow from a tiny primordia to a large, ready to harvest mushroom in one week or less. This mushroom is easy to grow but requires some patience in the beginning. We offer a quick and easy Lion’s Mane Mushroom Block – Ready to Grow Kit for those wishing to try growing this mushroom at home without waiting.

    Pros:
    Cons:
After injecting my substrate with the Lion's Mane culture it took about 3 weeks to fully colonize. I place it in my fruiting chamber and after 3 or 4 days I started seeing pins. It's been about a week and it's almost ready to harvest. I can't wait to try my first batch of Lion's Mane. They look fantastic!. I would recommend this culture to my friend and family.
