A dehydrator built around the one problem general-purpose units don't solve: tray height. Our custom-molded trays are extra tall, and the top tray is double height, so you can dry large fruits whole instead of slicing them to fit. A 350W conductive heater and 360° airflow keep the temperature even at the low settings mushrooms need.

    Why growers use this dehydrator

    Dry fruits whole

Standard trays are too shallow for big caps and clusters. Extra-tall trays and a double-height top tray let you dry them whole and keep their natural shape.

    Even heat at low settings

The 350W conductive element and 360° circular airflow dry evenly without hot spots, right down at the 95–106°F range mushrooms need.

    More than mushrooms

Turn it up to 165°F for herbs, spices, vegetables, fruit and jerky.

How to dry mushrooms with it

    1Load whole fruits

Put the largest mushrooms on the double-height top tray. Leave space between them so air can move.

    2Set it low

Run 95–106°F. Low heat dries more slowly but protects flavor, color and quality.

    3Dry to cracker-dry

They're done when stems snap cleanly instead of bending. Check larger fruits every few hours.

    4Store them dry

Seal them in an airtight jar or bag with a desiccant to keep moisture out.

From our lab: dried mushrooms pull moisture back out of the air fast. Get them into airtight storage as soon as they come off the trays, while they're still cracker-dry.

    Frequently asked questions

What temperature should I dehydrate mushrooms at?

95–106°F. That range dries mushrooms fully while protecting their quality. The higher settings, up to 165°F, are for herbs, vegetables, fruit and jerky.

How do I know when mushrooms are fully dry?

They should be cracker-dry: the stems snap cleanly instead of bending. If anything still flexes, give it more time.

    Why extra-tall trays?

Standard dehydrator trays are too shallow for large caps and clusters, which forces you to cut them. Taller trays let you dry fruits whole and keep their natural shape.

Can the trays go in the dishwasher?

Hand-wash them in warm, soapy water. Heat from some dishwashers can warp the trays.

Can I use it for more than mushrooms?

Yes. It works for herbs, spices, vegetables, fruit and jerky across its full 95–165°F range.

Pretty darn quiet! Been using mine for a year now. I just wish it came with a fine mesh overlay for one of the trays for those smaller pinheads. I'm giving it 5 stars because it's a good value, this Dehydrator is really versatile because it can also be used to make dog treats, fruit leather, etc.
