Ready-made lids that turn standard 90mm wide-mouth mason jars into grain spawn or liquid culture jars. Each lid has a 22mm synthetic filter rated at 0.22 micron for gas exchange and a thick self-healing injection port for repeat inoculations, both bonded with 3M automotive-grade adhesive.
No drilling, no gluing, no stacking filter discs under the ring. Load the jar, put the lid on, sterilize and inoculate through the port. Six lids per pack, reusable through multiple sterilization cycles.

The thick port reseals behind the needle, so you can inoculate grain or pull liquid culture multiple times without opening the jar.

Load a wide-mouth jar with prepared grain or liquid culture media.
Secure the lid so it sits flat and sealed on the jar.
Pressure-sterilize the jar with the lid in place and let it cool completely.
Wipe the port with alcohol, flame your needle and inject through the center of the port.
Good for: grain spawn jars, liquid culture jars, spore or LC inoculation, and grain-to-grain transfers.

These lids come with a 22mm filter and port already attached. The 90mm discs are loose filters you place under the ring of a standard metal lid and pair with your own port.
They are a very handy and good lid, if you are realistic and don't expect them to last forever. I've ran mine four times so far and one of them is starting to show a bit of rust. It's completely economical considering what other lids are going for, when you really just need a few lids and none of them last forever.
The lids work great fory medicinal mushrooms. Worked great in the pressure cooker for sterilization. I will definitely be ordering more of these.
