Pre-cut monotub liners sized for the 66Q tub and most 50–66 quart clear totes. Each liner is cut to 24" x 15.5", factory folded and UV-C sterilized. A big tub is where hand-cut trash bag liners fall apart; these drop in, press into the corners and fold over the rim.
These are the same liners that ship with our Grower's Select monotubs.
The liner blocks light along the tub walls, so pins form on top of the substrate instead of down the sides.
As the cake shrinks during fruiting, the liner collapses with it and keeps the gap at the wall closed instead of opening a dry channel.
Substrate never touches the tub. Pull the liner with the spent block inside and the tub just needs a wipe.
Drop the liner into a clean, empty tub.
Work it into the base and corners so it sits flat with no air trapped underneath.
Fold the excess over the tub rim. The lid holds it in place.
Mix and level your spawn and substrate right on the liner, and lift it out after the last flush.
Match the liner to the tub. Liners are size-specific. An oversized liner bunches in the corners and traps water; an undersized one leaves bare wall where side pins push through.
Finish the setupThe Grower's Select 66Q monotub this liner is made for, 2.5" adhesive filter disks, and the Canopy Cutter for harvest day. Other liner sizes: Small | Medium.
Most 50–66 quart clear totes work. Measure the inside base of your tub first. If it's closer to 44 quarts, the medium liner is the right size.
They help, because side pins are largely a response to light coming through the tub wall and the liner blocks it. They aren't a complete fix on their own; proper spawn depth and keeping the tub out of direct light matter just as much.
No. Each liner is UV-C treated before packaging and arrives factory folded. Handle it with clean hands, unfold it into the tub and spawn as normal.
Treat them as single-use. Lifting the liner out with the spent block is where the cleanup savings come from, and they're inexpensive enough that reusing one isn't worth the contamination risk.
Two spawn bags (about 5 lb of grain) to 10 lb of bulk substrate. The liner doesn't change your ratio, depth or fruiting routine.
