I use a much larger version of this at work. When cleaning operating rooms we use uv light to sterilize the rooms after we clean it. So I would still suggest keeping up with all of your normal sterile techniques. This is just extra precautionary measures to be safe.

I got the light used it on my still air box and workstation, it was good I got zero contamination in any of my plates. Then I bumped it off the desk and broke the bulb oops. Really 5 stars for effectiveness and ease of use 4 stars for being fragile. I am still planning to get this light again and just be more careful with it.

<p>I wanted to post a quick review. I ordered this UV wand with my grow kit and after reading the grow guide I was going to use a sterile method for injecting my jars, but didnt have time, so I decided to try injecting with just this UV light in open air. I rested it on a shelf and worked right under it. I HAD ZERO contaminated jars!! I was very impressed! Maybe I got lucky but I want to share my experience! Maybe is does work! haha</p>
