I had never grown mushrooms before. The kit and the guides provided everything I needed for a successful first cultivation. And when I had questions about the guide, I got all my questions answered by calling the company directly. Someone just picked up the phone and helped me straight away. Highly recommended for first-time growers :)

My order came pretty quickly and was well put together, I have just inoculated my 5-grain jar 3 days ago and should see growth in the next few days! The substrate is so FRESH and MOIST! I’m a beginner but can tell these are all AMAZING quality mushroom growing supplies! Will definitely continue to buy my supplies from Midwest.

Cons:

This kit is only a little more work than the all-in-one bags you get on Amazon only it produces much better and more fruits. Use with a small amount of the horse booster and you'll get an excellent result. Good for more than one harvest of fruits and the mycelium left behind after the 3rd harvest can be used in a monotub or outdoor bed as long as you're careful about not letting any mold in wash your hands with rubbing alcohol before you open to spray water or harvest fruit and you should have no problem doing this.
*note I am not a professional grower I only grow my mushrooms for legal and health reasons*

Everything I have purchased from here has been great quality including this. Fresh grain jar that is already colonizing after 3 days I'm stoked, the casing is fresh, nice and dark. Another great product from them I don't go anywhere else for my mycology products I buy everything from them and it's always great quality and they will answer any questions you may have along you journey!!!!!!
