Spare sterile needles for spore syringes, liquid culture syringes and any Luer Lock syringe in your lab. At 16 gauge, the bore is wide enough to push thick culture and mycelium strands without clogging, and the 1.5" length reaches through a lid or bag port and into the jar.

Discard the needle after the session and use a fresh one for the next culture.
From our lab: when inoculating several jars from one syringe, flame the needle until it glows, let it cool for a few seconds, then wipe the next port with alcohol before you inject.
