Harvesting scissors built for working inside a tub. The MycoEdge has a 10" reach, so you cut from the rim instead of putting your hand and forearm into the fruiting chamber, and a narrow tip that slides between stems in a tight cluster to cut right where the stem meets the casing.
The set comes with 2 spare carbon steel blades and a second set of blade holders, so a dull edge or a broken holder never costs you a harvest.
Ten inches of reach lets you work a 66Q from the rim. Only the blade tip goes near the casing, not your knuckles.
The slim profile fits between stems, so you take the mature fruits and leave the pins alone.
When a blade dulls, put in a spare instead of crushing stems with a dull edge. Spare holders are in the box too.
Wipe the blade and the front of the body with 70% isopropyl alcohol and let it flash off.
Support the cap lightly with one hand so the stem doesn't move. Don't pull.
Slide the tip down the stem to the surface and close. One clean cut leaves the least behind.
Lift straight out without dragging across pins. Wipe the blade again between tubs and between genetics.
Care: wipe it with 70% isopropyl alcohol only. Don't autoclave it, run it through a dishwasher or flame the blade; the 3D-printed body isn't heat rated and will deform.

It holds up well in normal use, but it's printed plastic, not machined metal, so a hard drop onto concrete or tile can crack it. Store it on a hook or in a drawer. The spare blade holders are there for exactly that kind of accident.

Far less than twisting fruits out by hand, but a small stub can remain depending on how the stem sits. Cut as close to the surface as the tip reaches and lift any stub out with tweezers. A small stub is easier to deal with than a divot torn in the casing.
At first I was skeptical but the solid reviews lead me to get these scissors. I'm really glad I did. They are suuuuper sharp and cut the stem at a perfect level to not damage the mycelium or leave too much stem left on the sub. If used correctly the stem nubs left are small enough to be reclaimed by the undamaged myc around it. Includes extra blades. Great product!

I have never seen such, but I LOVE these mushroom scissors. They are just brilliant, a real razors edge cut.
The contour and handling is pretty good. The only thing is the receiving side is a little weird. Cool because it covers the blade but it kind of pinches the stem a bit. I feel like they could be a little bit shorter on the handle to make it easier to get inside tubs. Overall its a great tool and I would buy again, makes harvesting so simple!
I bought these after I birthed the cakes, and they were here before my first flush was even done, and they scissors are curved just right so I can get under the bulb/bulb cluster without damaging the cake and with no need to twist/turn larger clusters with my fingers.
